Hello beauties! Today we are going to be talking about detox water for clear skin!

If you’re wondering why I talk about acne here on my blog so much it’s because I have acne prone skin, I’ve had it since middle school and it sucks.

But recently I’ve been experimenting with different ways I can clear up and improve the look and feel of my skin. Unfortunately one of those ways is extremely simple but so hard for me to do sometimes.

Our bodies are made up mostly of water so drinking a good amount of it is bound to have positive effects on your skin which just happens to be your body’s largest organ.

Let’s be honest, even though most of us know how good water is for you and how it important it is, the point still stands that water just isn’t the most fun thing to drink.

That’s why there are so many water enhancers on the market right now.

But there is a more natural way to flavor your water that will also give you some added health benefits and that method is detox water!

Cucumber, lemon and mint detox water

Cucumber is so great for keeping your body hydrated. They’re also really great for protecting against aging.

Cucumbers also reduce inflammation and can be helpful in relieving pain which makes this detox water great for a post workout.

Lemon, in addition to being great for hydrating your body, is also a great source of vitamin C which gives your immune system a boost.

Some studies have also shown that it aids in weight loss and digestion.

Like lemon mint is also great for digestion. Mint is also good for relieving nausea and headaches.

Chia seed fruit detox water

Most of these detox recipes are pretty customizable but this one is more so because you can use any fruit you want in conjunction with the other ingredients. Honestly, the chia seeds are the star of the show here.

Chia seeds, in addition to being a great source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, are also a great energy booster, maybe even better than coffee.

The most awesome thing about chia seeds is that they absorb water like a sponge, so when you put them in water they puff up and become squishy and chewable.

So watermelon itself is pretty hydrating, but when you add it to your water you get double the hydration plus if you don’t like the texture of watermelon you can still get the juice and flavor of it without actually having to eat it.

Also, watermelon is really great for relieving muscle soreness.

Lime, on the other hand, has plenty of vitamins and nutrients and is good for lower cholesterol.

Lime can also aid in your digestion and boost your immune system, similar to lemons.

Lime is very acidic so I recommend that you don’t use limes and lemons too much because it can eat away at the enamel on your teeth and make them more sensitive to things like the cold.

Strawberry and kiwi detox water

I love strawberries so this detox water is one of my favorites.

Kiwi is a powerhouse fruit, especially for being so tiny.

Kiwi can help regulate your blood pressure and is great for improving your heart health. It’s also great for your vision. Even if you wear glasses you should still try to take care of your eyes.

Kiwi is also great for inducing sleep, so if you’re like me and have trouble falling asleep at night maybe you can try this detox water before bed.

I’m going to be honest, I’m not a very big fan of oranges but I do love blueberries so this detox water is still Lapiz approved.

Blueberries are also a great aid when it comes to weight loss.

Surprisingly oranges can help prevent kidney disease and liver cancer.

They are also good for relieving constipation, drinking more water, in general, is good if you’re feeling backed up.

Getting your recommended daily intake of water doesn’t have to be hard or boring, there are plenty of natural things you can do to spice up your water and get some added benefits.
